Skill Development Program (SDP)
Skills and Knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of country. The main and important objective of executing/conducting Skill Development Program is to contribute to the development of State(s) by enhancing the employability and self employability of the target group by providing them on job training in various trades/skills, enable them to up lift their economic status.
Looking to the objective of Skill Development initiative, MPCON, with a vast experience in this field have been imparting skill development/Upgradation Training programs in various skills/trades as per the need and interest & aspirations of the candidates so that after successfully completion of the training they can opt job employment or self employment of their own interest. Presently, MPCON involved in providing skill development programs in various skills in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Assam, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal, Manipur etching order to cater the needs of the sponsors. These SDPs sponsor by the Central & State Government Departments. MPCON is also involved in conducting “Counseling, Retraining & Redeployment (CRR)” scheme for the VR Optees from CPSEs. The main objective of the scheme is to reorient VR Optees through short duration training program enable them to adjust to the environment and adopt new vacations after separation from CPSEs due to VRS/VSS. As a Nodal Agency, MPCON has been implementing the scheme in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh & Gujrat under the sponsorship of Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Govt of India.
Training Program contents include class room training in which inputs on Behavioral Aspects, Role & Function of Support Agencies, Management of an enterprise, Technical & Financial aspects, Marketing etc. cover. Apart from this, Practical aspects cover Knowledge of identified product(s)/service(s), Different Tools/ Equipments, Sources of availability of tools & equipments, raw materials, spares, manufacturing process, fault findings etc
MPCON organizes the programs through its Entrepreneurship Awareness Centres (EAC) located at different places where Counselors, Surveyors, Coordinators looking after all activities require for the proposed skill development training.
